ATSpro vs specialist recruitment website platforms
Most UK agencies pay for two things: a CRM, and a separate recruitment website platform. The specialist platforms are good at what they do — polished templates, bespoke design, integrations with most CRMs and teams who will build the site for you. But they are a second subscription, often on a multi-year contract. ATSpro includes a complete agency website in the CRM. This page sets out the difference using each provider’s own published prices.
What you pay, and for how long

The Access Group, owner of the Volcanic recruitment website platform, puts SaaS recruitment website platforms at £250 to £899+ a month, typically on 3-year contracts, and advises small agencies to budget £250–£400 a month. Shazamme publishes UK plans from £195 a month billed annually (£255 billed monthly) up to £785 (£1,025), with no lock-in contract. SourceFlow lists its plans on 24- and 36-month terms without published prices.
Where the difference really is
Two bills, or one
A specialist platform is priced on its own, so it sits on top of whatever your CRM costs. Take a three-person agency: on the Access Group’s own guidance it would budget £250–£400 a month for the website, plus its CRM. On ATSpro, three users are £147 a month, and that includes the agency website, your own domain and SSL.
Contracts that outlast your plans
Two- and three-year terms are common for specialist platforms. That is fine if you know exactly what you want for three years; it is a long commitment if you are a new or fast-changing agency. Not every provider works this way — Shazamme, for example, advertises no lock-in — so check the term before you sign. ATSpro is monthly.
Weeks of project, or minutes of setup
A template-based recruitment website is typically a 4–8 week project, by the Access Group’s estimate, with briefing, design customisation and integration work. In ATSpro you pick one of six templates, answer a few questions and the AI writes your pages in about a minute; you change the colours, images and copy yourself. The trade-off is real: a platform team will do the work for you, and ATSpro expects you to do it — just much faster.
No integration to keep alive
A separate website platform has to be connected to your CRM so jobs appear and applications come back. In ATSpro the website and the CRM are the same system: publish a job from the job itself, and applications land straight against it. Close the role and it comes off the site.
Switching without a gap
You do not have to wait. Build your ATSpro site alongside your current one, publish your jobs to it, and point your domain at it when you are ready — or when your current contract ends. Your existing site stays live until you switch.
When a specialist platform is the better choice
An honest list — sometimes the answer is not us.
- You want a bespoke design, created by a design team, rather than a template you adapt yourself.
- You are staying on a CRM other than ATSpro — the specialist platforms integrate with Bullhorn, Vincere, JobAdder and many others; ATSpro’s website only works with ATSpro.
- You run several sites or regions and want a dedicated project manager, success reviews and an SEO strategy as part of the service.
- You would rather someone else built and looked after the website entirely.
ATSpro suits agencies that want a professional site they can set up and run themselves, with jobs and applications in the same system, and no second subscription.
Recruitment website platforms — frequently asked
How much does a recruitment website platform cost?
Published prices vary widely. The Access Group, owner of Volcanic, puts SaaS recruitment website platforms at £250 to £899+ a month, typically on 3-year contracts, and suggests small agencies budget £250–£400 a month. Shazamme publishes UK plans from £195 a month billed annually up to £785, or £255 to £1,025 billed monthly. Some providers, such as SourceFlow, publish contract terms but not prices. All of these are in addition to your CRM.
Is the ATSpro website really included in the price?
Yes. The agency website builder — six templates, AI setup, your own domain and SSL, SEO tools and analytics — is included in ATSpro at £49 per user per month. There is no separate website subscription or set-up fee.
Can ATSpro’s website work with another CRM?
No. The ATSpro website is built into ATSpro, so jobs are published from ATSpro and applications land in ATSpro. If you are staying on another CRM, a specialist website platform that integrates with it is the better choice.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes — a root domain such as youragency.co.uk or a subdomain such as careers.youragency.co.uk. ATSpro shows the DNS records to add, and SSL certificates are provisioned and renewed automatically at no extra cost.
I am in a contract with my current website provider. Can I still switch?
You can build your ATSpro site alongside your current one and point your domain at it whenever you are ready, so there is no gap. Many agencies time the switch for the end of their existing contract.
