Loxo alternative for UK recruitment agencies
Loxo has one of the best sourcing engines in the market and a genuinely useful free tier. Two things make it an awkward fit for UK agencies: almost every AI capability it markets sits behind a quote-only plan, and the product carries no UK compliance because it was not built for this market. Here is the detail, including where Loxo beats us outright.
Last reviewed July 2026. Competitor pricing is compiled from public sources and user reports — see the notes at the foot of this page.
The AI you are buying it for is not on the published plan
This is the single most important thing to check before you take a Loxo demo. Loxo publishes a Basic price of $209 per user per month. Loxo Source, natural-language search, the AI notetaker, AI agents, omni-channel outreach automation and the client portal all sit on the Professional and Enterprise tiers, both of which are “Let’s chat”. The published price buys you an ATS, a sales CRM, dashboards, analytics, resume parsing and support.
Taken from Loxo’s own pricing page in July 2026. Worth noting: third-party articles still quote Loxo Basic at $109, $119 or $169, so if you are comparing vendors using review sites you may be working from stale numbers. Always check the vendor’s own page — including ours.
What this means in practice
Budget for the tier you will actually end up on
If AI sourcing is why Loxo is on your shortlist, price the Professional tier, not Basic — and you will need a sales conversation to find out what that costs. It is a legitimate way to package software, but it makes side-by-side comparison hard, and it means the number you see first is not the number you pay. ATSpro has one plan at £49 per user per month with everything switched on, which you can verify on our pricing page without talking to anyone.
Sourcing is one job; running a UK desk is the other twelve
Loxo is strongest at the top of the funnel — finding people and opening conversations. If your desk is purely direct-hire search and you already have compliance and back-office handled elsewhere, that focus is a feature.
A UK agency running temp or contract also needs Reg 15 and 17 paperwork, Right to Work evidence against the Home Office List A and B framework, umbrella, PAYE and IR35 handling, and timesheets that become invoices. None of that exists in Loxo, and none of it is a configuration away — it is simply not what a US product is built to do.
Pricing in dollars is a rate you have not hedged
A ten-seat Loxo Basic subscription is roughly $25,000 a year. Sterling has moved meaningfully against the dollar more than once in the last five years, and that variance lands on your P&L without warning. ATSpro is £49 per user per month, invoiced in the UK, in sterling, with UK VAT handled properly.
We are not right for everyone. Here is when to pick Loxo.
- You are a solo recruiter or very small team and budget is the binding constraint. Loxo has a genuine free-forever tier for one user with a working ATS and CRM. We do not — we have a 14-day trial and then £49. If free is what you need right now, take it.
- Outbound sourcing volume is the whole business. Loxo Source against a very large proprietary database is a serious tool, and if you are running high-volume outbound into US or global markets it is likely stronger than our Apollo and X-ray sourcing.
- You are a US or international firm. Everything we build around UK compliance is dead weight to you, and Loxo is priced and supported for your timezone.
- You want one vendor for sourcing, contact data and outreach, and are content to buy contact credits as a consumable.
ATSpro is the better fit if you are a UK agency — particularly one running temp or contract alongside perm — that wants compliance, pay and bill, and the full AI toolset included rather than tiered.
Moving from Loxo
We migrate candidates, companies, contacts, jobs and document history at no cost, and most agencies are live in days. If you are mid-contract, start the 14-day trial in parallel — there is nothing to install and no card required, so you can run both until your renewal date comes round.

How we sourced these figures
Neither we nor most of our competitors publish every number, so treat comparative pricing as an informed estimate rather than a quote. ATSpro’s own price is published in full at /pricing — £49 per user per month, every feature included. Where a competitor publishes a list price we use it; where they do not, we cite ranges reported by review sites and practitioners and label them as estimates. If you spot something out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

- Third-party sources quoting lower Loxo Basic figures ($109–$169) appear to be out of date as of July 2026.
- Annual price increase reports: Capterra and third-party reviewer commentary, 2026 — not verified against Loxo directly.
