Recruit CRM alternative for UK recruitment agencies

Recruit CRM is a genuinely strong product with a large, happy customer base and some of the best review scores in the category. It is also, like us, shipping an MCP server and AI agents — so this is not a modern-versus-legacy comparison. The real difference is what each plan actually lets you do, and whether the product knows anything about UK compliance.

Read their comparison table before you read ours

Recruit CRM publishes a detailed plan comparison, and it is worth reading closely, because several headline features carry numeric limits rather than simple ticks. The figures in the right-hand column below are taken directly from that table.

Taken from recruitcrm.io/pricing in July 2026. Recruit CRM runs three plans — Pro, Business and Enterprise — with a monthly/annual toggle and up to 20% off annual billing. Prices are rendered dynamically on their page rather than published as static text, so we have not quoted figures here; get them from Recruit CRM directly.

What the limits mean in practice

Two candidate matches is a demo, not a workflow

The Pro plan caps candidate matching at two matches, and Business and Enterprise at fifty. For a desk working a shortlist of thirty against a live role, fifty is workable and two is not. ATSpro’s matching runs an HNSW vector index over your whole database with no per-match cap — you match everyone against everything, because the cost of doing so is ours, not yours.

One pipeline is a real constraint for a mixed desk

Pro allows a single hiring pipeline. If you run perm and contract, or you have one client who insists on a two-stage process and another who wants five, you need multiple pipelines — which means Business or above. Same story for custom fields: fifteen on Pro, a hundred and fifty above it.

Ours are unlimited on the single plan. That is not generosity, it is a consequence of having one plan — there is no lower tier whose constraints create the upgrade.

Enterprise features are metered, not just unlocked

Worth reading their small print: workflow automation on Enterprise includes 1,000 tasks per user per month, job multiposting includes 10 jobs per user per month, and data enrichment includes 500 credits per user per month. These are reasonable allowances, but they are allowances — usage beyond them is a conversation. Budget for the plan and the consumption.

UK compliance is the clean break

Recruit CRM is GDPR compliant and serves agencies in over 100 countries, but it does not ship Regulation 15 and 17 documents, the Home Office Right to Work List A and B framework, or umbrella, PAYE and IR35 handling. A product serving a hundred countries cannot build deeply for one of them.

Where Recruit CRM is the better buy

We are not right for everyone. Here is when to pick Recruit CRM.

  • You operate internationally. Over 100 countries, eight interface languages and a genuinely global support operation — that is a real advantage we cannot match, and our UK-specific work is dead weight to you.
  • You want the highest-rated product by review volume. Recruit CRM has hundreds of reviews averaging around 4.9 on Capterra. We have a fraction of that history, and if peer validation matters to your buying process, that gap is legitimate.
  • You need 24/7 live chat support. They have a global team covering it; we have one founder in the UK who sleeps occasionally.
  • Your desk is perm-only and high-volume, and you will happily sit on Business or Enterprise where most of the limits stop biting.

ATSpro is the better fit for UK agencies that need Reg 15/17, Right to Work and IR35 handled natively, that run temp or contract volume, and that would rather have every limit removed on one plan than choose a tier.

Moving from Recruit CRM

We migrate candidates, companies, contacts, jobs, placements and documents at no cost. Worth noting: Recruit CRM offers a free CSV self-import and a paid managed migration taking 10–14 business days. Ours is included and typically completes in days.

ATSpro vs Recruit CRM — frequently asked

How much does Recruit CRM cost?
Recruit CRM publishes tiered pricing, typically ranging from around $40 to $125 per user per month on annual billing, with add-ons from roughly $12 per month. Full AI candidate matching and multi-step email sequences sit on the higher Business and Enterprise tiers — lower tiers cap AI matches per job. ATSpro is £49 per user per month with all AI features included at that single price, no tiers and no add-ons.
How does ATSpro compare to Recruit CRM?
Recruit CRM is a globally-marketed recruitment CRM priced around £39–69 per user per month with feature-tiered plans. ATSpro is £49 per user per month with every feature included — no tier gates. ATSpro is built specifically for UK recruitment agencies with native Reg 15/17 compliance, full Right to Work framework, geographic intelligence (map view + radius search), 6 AI agents and 29 lifecycle automations, and an AI assistant with 170+ tools that takes real actions in the CRM. Recruit CRM has none of those.
Does Recruit CRM have an AI assistant like ATSpro?
Recruit CRM has resume parsing and basic AI features, but no conversational AI assistant that takes actions in the CRM. ATSpro’s AI assistant has 170+ tools — finding candidates, sending emails, creating jobs, chasing feedback, generating reports, scheduling interviews — all from a single command interface, included in the standard £49 price.
Is ATSpro a good Recruit CRM alternative for UK agencies?
Yes — particularly for UK agencies needing native compliance documents (Reg 15/17 assignment confirmations, RTW framework, GDPR 5-state consent), full temp/contract workflows with timesheets and Sage/Xero/QuickBooks/FreeAgent sync, geographic candidate search, and deep AI capabilities. Recruit CRM has solid CRM fundamentals globally but lacks the UK-specific compliance and billing stack.
Can I migrate from Recruit CRM to ATSpro?
Yes — ATSpro provides free data migration covering candidates, companies, contacts, jobs, and placement history. Bulk CSV import with auto-deduplication is available, and migration support is direct from the founder.
How we sourced these figures

Neither we nor most of our competitors publish every number, so treat comparative pricing as an informed estimate rather than a quote. ATSpro’s own price is published in full at /pricing — £49 per user per month, every feature included. Where a competitor publishes a list price we use it; where they do not, we cite ranges reported by review sites and practitioners and label them as estimates. If you spot something out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
